Award-winning Oriole is a tale of two halves: upstairs, there’s a small but swanky bar, perfect for a pre-theatre drink or nightcap; downstairs, there’s a speakeasy-inspired restaurant with jungle wallpaper, low lighting and a small live stage hosting jazz and blues.

Across both floors? Cocktails, and lots of them. If you’re upstairs in the Bamboo Bar, it’s all about expressions of sherry and vermouth (here, the Chincha Alta, a light, fizzy and refreshing serve, with a side of mango sorbet, is the drink to get). Downstairs, it’s all about the Belle Mare. This cocktail is Oriole’s take on a martini, coming in a shell-like glass complete with its very own rock pool garnish. Needless to say, the cocktail connoisseur in your life will be happy here.
