Bruno
London
Everything a local wine bar should be.
Bruno is the latest opening from London’s wine bar whisperer, Michael Sager. Unlike Sager’s other beloved spaces (from Sager + Wilde to Equal Parts), Bruno is more of a personal project – not least because it’s named after his father.
It’s the epitome of cosy, candle-lit and convivial, with antique furniture and much of Sager’s own wine collection lining the shelves. And it’s located in cute converted stables in his home spot, the picturesque Victoria Park Village. You’ll be searching for ways to move here as soon as you’ve left.
Why we love it
The vibe: Warm and intimate, soundtracked by good music and the gentle hum of friends catching up over a great glass of wine
The food: Small plates via short-term residencies from London’s up and coming chefs
The drink: Wine by the glass – one each of fizz, white, orange, rosé and red – and a vast selection of bottles to choose from
