Ensconced in its own little cosmos right next to Zürich’s Central Station, 25hours Hotel sits at the intersection between lively Langstrasse and the ultra-modern Europaallee, where the artsy red-light district meets soaring office towers.

Inspired by this exchange, the 170 rooms by designer Werner Aisslinger are divided between the worlds of louche seduction and the buttoned-up bourgeoisie. With a hankering for the analogue days, arcade game machines, cassettes, and murals of record covers decorate the public spaces, and polaroid cameras can be found artfully placed in the bedrooms. Lounge by the fire in the ‘living room’ or people watch on the terrace – the ground floor bar and restaurant is where bankers-in-suits mingle with the creative set.
