Tama
AlUla
A melting pot of Middle Eastern cuisine and international flavours at this all-day dining spot.
Meaning ‘here and now’ in Aramaic, Tama takes inspiration from the fragrant spices once traded along the incense route through Saudi Arabia. Open from lunch until midnight, a far-reaching menu caters to all moods, whether you’re craving small bites or a full three course meal.
Ingredients sourced from local farms and producers are the star of the show – snack upon flatbreads and tacos pulled from the wood-fired oven or inquire after the fresh catch of the day. Vegans will be spoilt for choice with a separate plant-based section, whilst the Iftar set menu offers fun for the whole family, set to the sounds of live music.
Why we love it
The Vibe: An indoor-outdoor flow with views over the pool and dramatic sandstone cliffs
The Food: Middle Eastern flavours with contemporary accents
The Drink: A range of non-alcoholic tipples include local beers and sparkling lemonades

Where you'll be
Ashar Valley
With over 200,000 years of history, you’re right in the middle of Ashar Valley, filled with millions of date palms and dramatic cliffs. Whether by foot, by car, or by camel, there are myriad ways to explore the desert landscape. Don’t forget to check out some modern marvels too – Maraya, the largest mirrored building in the world, hosts a rotating series of events whilst Desert X commissions site-specific installations from leading artists. Lose yourselves in the winding paths of AlUla Old Town and pay a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hegra, where sandstone tombs were hewn from the rocks by the Nabataeans, the same architects who carved the ancient sites of Petra.
