Pamana
Portland
A love letter to Filipino heritage, rooted in family recipes, memory, and bold, joyful flavor.
In Tagalog, Pamana means “legacy” — and that’s exactly what this vibrant neighbourhood eatery delivers. Founded by Geri and Ethan Leung — the duo behind Baon Kainan, crowned Cart of the Year by The Oregonian/OregonLive in 2021 — Pamana marks their leap from cult-favorite food cart to restaurant. You’ll now find them inside the lobby of The Hoxton, Portland, tucked just beyond the front desk in a bright, expansive dining room made for gathering.
The menu celebrates Filipino ingredients with playful confidence. Think bibingka-inspired pancakes draped in striking purple ube crème anglaise, adobo-marinated mushrooms folded into one of Portland’s most craveable omelets, pork belly tocino silog with rice and egg, and golden, crisp lumpia that disappear fast.
Why we love it
The vibe: A big, buzzy dining room built for group hangs
The food: Heritage-driven cooking that feels both deeply personal and effortlessly modern
The drink: House-made calamansi soda and Phillipine canned juices
