Built by world-renowned architect, Jean Nouvel, SO/ Vienna is a shimmering tower of glass that draws inspiration from the city’s Stephansdom, turning the cathedral’s iconic dome into an imposing diamond-shaped glass roof. Inside, guests come to worship at the hotel’s altar of contemporary art. Multimedia artist, Pipilotti Rist, has created a modern day fresco, illuminating the ceiling with a constantly changing light show drawing on flora and fauna. Rooms are equally conceptual, decorated exclusively in a ‘non colour’ colour palette of black, white, and grey.
