Belgrade is where Ottoman relics meet concrete modernism, and the river Danube runs wide past riverside bars, fortress views, and “splavs” - aka the city’s iconic floating clubs that go until sunrise. Follow these with a coffee thick (and strong) enough to stand a spoon in. From "kafanas", the city's beloved old-school taverns, to galleries tucked inside brutalist blocks, Belgrade's energy is everywhere, and certainly unforgettable.
