Vast as imagination, and stranger than fiction: Chile’s Atacama Desert is a high-altitude wonderland of salt flats, lunar valleys, and hot springs that steam under star-strewn skies.. Flamingos wade through blue lagoons,while geysers whisper at sunrise.. It takes effort to get here, but that’s the point as the reward is a trip so otherworldly, boring can’t find it on the map.
